Taurocholate supplementation partly attenuated negative effects of plant protein sources substituting fish meal on turbot. These effects include growth performance, feed utilization and lipid digestion and metabolism. Taurocholate could increase the cholesterol and total bile acids levels. Higher levels could attribute to an improved cholesterol digestion and absorption and TBA synthesis.
