Study of atomic oxygen greenline dayglow emission in thermosphere during geomagnetic storm conditions

The study aims to understand correlation between geomagnetic storms and greenline airglow in thermosphere. The volume emission rate of airglow emission has been calculated using a photochemical model. The modeled VER shows a positive correlation with the Dst index. The VER shows a negative correlation with neutral number densities. Peak emission altitude doesn’t show variation during geomagnetic storms.
