An inhalation pathway model for children's exposure to ambient Mn was hypothesized. Levels of Mn in air, soil and dust and children's hair were used to test the model. Mn in air and soil and time outside significantly contributed to household dust Mn. Household dust Mn was found to be a significant contributor to child hair Mn.
