Highly textured ZnO thin films are grown using sol-gel spin coating technique. (002) oriented films are grown with an aim to study the effect of preferential orientation on gas sensing application. Gas sensing parameters in presence of H2, CO and CH4 gases are studied by varying the operating temperature. The correlation between crystallographic orientation and other properties are discussed.
