A novel approach to fabrication of three-dimensional porous titanium with controllable structure

A new approach to fabrication of porous titanium was developed. The 3D morphology of the interconnected porous structure can be exactly controlled. The as-prepared porous titanium exhibits adequate yielding strength. The elastic modulus of the porous titanium matches well with that of cortical bone. The as-prepared porous titanium has great potential for implant applications.
