Adult basic education students were tested on a lexical decision task.

The students were also tested on standardized reading tests and IQ tests.

The diffusion decision-making model was applied to lexical decision data.

Model parameters were found to be correlated with some of the reading and IQ tests.

These analyses relate speed and accuracy of simple decisions to standard reading tests.
