Women seeking shelter from violent relationships are at risk for suicide ideation. We tested fluid vulnerability theory in women seeking shelter from IPV. Depressive symptoms mediated the coercive control-suicide ideation relation. Suicide attempt history facilitated this mediated association. No variables mediated the physical violence-suicide ideation relation.
