Characterizing dispersion and long term stability of concentrated carbon nanotube aqueous suspensions for fabricating ductile cementitious composites

CNTs at high conc. were dispersed in water with poloxamer 407 (Pluronic F-127) and SDBS. Agglomerates, bundle size, extractability, zeta potential and stability were characterized. Highly homogeneous and stable CNT suspensions were prepared using Pluronic. f-SWCNT/pluronic suspensions showed high homogeneity, extractability and storage stability. Fracture energy of cement improved strongly through CNT addition.
