We investigated whether syntactic priming decays in conditions with unrelated heads.
We studied three different syntactic contrasts in three lag conditions (0/2/6).
Participants’ explicit memory for these structures was tested in the same conditions.
The strength of priming and the explicit memory of the sentence structures decayed quickly.
