Synthesis of chitin nanofibers, MWCNTs and MnO2 nanoflakes 3D porous network flexible gel-film for high supercapacitive performance electrodes

The chitin nanofibers, carbon nanotubes and MnO2 nanaoflakes are fabricated into nanocomposites. A facile in-situ chemical liquid phase co-precipitation method is developed to synthesize the ChNFs/MWCNTs/MnO2 core shell structured material. The as-manufactured ChNFs/MWCNTs/MnO2 flexible gel-film is free-standing with 3D porous network structure. The material has the high specific capacitance (295.2 mF/cm2) and excellent capacitance retention (157.14%) after 5000 cycles. The ChNFs/MWCNTs/MnO2 core shell structured material is synthesized.
