Fenton process better alleviates leachate UV-quenching substances than ozonation. Fenton process destructs chromophores in hydrophobic and hydrophilic molecules. Ozonation tends to effectively destroy chromophores in hydrophobic molecules. Removed UV absorbance is in direct proportion to removed COD for either oxidation process.
