We micronized tetracycline using liquid and supercritical CO2 as antisolvent.

Tetracycline was hypothesized to coalesce following the viscous flow mechanism.

Effects of process parameters on the coalescence were investigated.

Precipitates from liquid CO2 were less coalesced than those from supercritical CO2.
