The new series of the octa-BODIPY decorated cyclotetraphosphazenes were synthesized and characterized for the first time. The metal sensing properties of novel BODIPY derivatives cyclotetraphosphazene dendimers were also examined. The first example of octa-BODIPY decorated cyclotetraphosphazenes showed high selectivity for Co2 + ions in solution.
