As, Cd, Hg, Zn, Pb levels in Miami River surficial sediments were evaluated. Zn and Pb levels were more than 10 times sediments <0.106 mm than those >4.750 mm. Cd and Hg levels in fine sediments were over 10 times than those larger than 0.850 mm. As levels in fine sediments were over 6 times than those larger than 0.850 mm. Cd, Hg, and Zn levels had significant correlation with total organic carbon content.
