The geological assessment of Goset Abu Khashier clay and utilization with DWTS in brick manufacture were studied. The physico-ceramic properties and phase composition of bricks containing 15-60 wt % DWTS were studied. The studied deposits consist of low-grade ferruginated clay that belongs to the Middle Eocene deposits. The ceramic properties of fired bricks agrees with the limiting values that were recommended for traditional bricks. Replacement of clay by 15-30 wt % of DWTS is an optimum percentage for brick making instead of its disposal into water bodies.
