Menadione caused oxidative stress in Phanerochaete chrysosporium. Ligninolytic enzymes in P. chrysosporium were induced by menadione exposure. Total ROS and hydroxyl levels in the cells increased with treatment of menadione. DNA and protein damages occurred with menadione, despite induction of DT-diapharose.
