We studied cow factors associated with two successive cases of clinical mastitis. Most pathogens causing successive clinical mastitis were of environmental origin. Milking ease was strongly associated with two successive cases of clinical mastitis. Udder depth and parity were associated with successive cases of clinical mastitis.
