An ASHP was applied for heating at low ambient temperatures of lower than −20 °C. Heating temperatures were 21.9–27.3 °C though ambient temperatures were −20.9 to −10.4 °C. System COPs were 1.04–2.44 whereas no obvious frost phenomena were observed. Indoor and outdoor temperature difference should be controlled within 41 °C.
