Testosterone increased mean arterial pressure which was antagonized by flutamide and finasteride. Levels of AQP-1, 2, 4, 6 and 7 protein and mRNA in kidneys increased following testosterone treatment. Levels of AQP-3 protein and mRNA decreased following testosterone treatment. AQP-1 and 7 were distributed in proximal convoluted tubule (PCT). AQP-2, 3, 4 and 6 were distributed in collecting ducts (CD).
