A new approach for inversion of fault-slip observations. Adaptive search that uses Stochastic rules and finds the global optimum. Imitates genetic evolutionary processes of selection, crossover and mutation. Works efficiently in different tectonic settings and noisy environment. Scope of the method can be extended to other stress indicators.
