Transesterification of low free fatty acid Jatropha and algal oil blend is the aim of the study. A low temperature transesterification process was selected. A biodiesel yield of 81.98% was achieved. Optimized methanol/oil ratio is 3:5 v/v, KOH concentration is 0.9% w/w and time is 180 min.
