Motion of “non-isothermal” falling particles in a non-Newtonian fluid were analyzed by the Newtonian fluid is analyzed by immersed boundary-thermal lattice Boltzmann method. Thermo-hydrodynamics effects of natural convection on non-isothermal falling particles were studied. The effects of temperature-dependent viscosity were investigated. Differences between the cases of constant and varying particle temperature were discussed.
