17β-Estradiol aptamers were validated with three different techniques. Microscale Thermophoresis is suitable for monitoring aptamer-small molecule interactions. Aptamer-PCR affinity assay and Surface Plasmon Resonance can be used for screening of aptamers. Multiple methods are required for the evaluation of aptamer-small molecule interactions.
