Little is known about the water use of rapidly expanding tropical secondary forests. First quantitative information on rainfall interception losses from (secondary) forests in Madagascar. For the first time, Gash interception model tested in a tropical secondary forest setting. The revised analytical model predicted measured interception loss reasonably well.
