TIMAP is a newly identified PKC substrate in endothelial cells. Ser331 is a novel PKC phosphorylation site of TIMAP. PKC phosphorylation of TIMAP enhances its membrane localization. Ser331 phosphorylation of TIMAP strongly reduces dephosphorylation of phospho-ERM. TIMAP plays a critical role in PKC mediated barrier disruption and regulation.
