Evaluating the usefulness of freezing preparation for the macroscopic investigation in advanced putrefied brain. The freezing preparation needed more than 14xA0;h. The freezing group afforded greater clarity in the gray-white matter inspection than the ordinary procedure. Postmortem CT was also useful in the investigation of putrefied brain, and also in deciding whether to use freezing preparation.
