Fly larvae on corpses in Saitama Prefecture during summer were collected. Species were determined by sequences of mitochondrial DNA cytochrome oxidase gene. Chrysomya pinguis was frequently found in the western unpopulated area. Lucilia sericata were mainly found in the eastern populated area. Larvae distribution can be useful information on the environment around the places where corpses were found.
