Ability of CFD to predict the performance of a sc-CO2 test compressor is shown. Risk of vapor pockets occurrence inside a scale 1:1 compressor is highlighted. Limitation of previous performance maps approaches to model the real gas behavior is shown. A performance maps approach for the sc-CO2 compressor is proposed and validated.
