This paper analyzes empirically a model of international trade of banking services. We emphasize the importance of banks’ expenses on labor and capital resources. Relative abundances of resources play fundamental roles in the theory. We study relationships between capital intensities and imports of loans and deposits. Analysis of 2001–2012 data from 27 countries verifies the theory.
