Dependence of Eu3+ photoluminescence properties on structural transformations in diopside-based glass-ceramics

Eu3+ doped diopside glass-ceramics (GCs) were produced at 850 °C for 300 h. The effect of various Sr/Ca ratios on the Eu3+ emission was studied. High fraction of SrO contained GC showed adequate emission and thermal stability. The present GCs are potential for optical lighting and display devices.
