Flow boiling in silicon nanowire (SiNW) and plainwall microchannels has been performed.

Bubble growth mechanisms and underlying physical phenomena have been studied.

New approach based on theoretical and visual studies is proposed to study bubble dynamics.

Bubble size, liquid film thickness, liquid–vapor (L–V) interface and properties are detected.

Force analysis during instantaneous bubble growth (nucleation to annular) has been performed.
