Both the 137Cs concentrations in green and dead foliar parts decreased exponentially over time.

The 137Cs concentrations were always higher in dead parts than in green parts.

Few weathering effect could be observed after early phase but internal translocation to newly emerging tissues.

The correlation between 137Cs and K was clearly demonstrated in age classified foliar parts.

Translocation of 137Cs would cease considerably earlier than the cessation of K translocation.
