We examine the on-time performance effects of airline code-sharing. Airline code-sharing reduces alliance partners' flight delays. The size of the codeshare effect on on-time performance depends on pre-alliance. competition in a market. Codeshare effects are larger in markets where partners competed in prior to the alliance.
