Sediment and LW discharges vary with magnitude and frequency of precipitation. Sediment and LW discharges are regulated by either supply- or transport-limited conditions. Reservoir management significantly reduces sediment and LW discharge downstream. Reduction of sediment and LW may cause channel incision and riparian forest expansion.
