Electric energy consumption in an operating dairy WWTP was examined. Aerobic sewage sludge stabilization consumes 25% of total energy supply in a dairy WWTP. Energy consumption was modeled using the linear and segmented linear regression. Optimal energy consumption relies on operating conditions close to a breaking point.
