The northern Sichuan basin received sediments from northern and northeast regions.
It received less sediments from the southern NCB during the Early Jurassic.
Other parts of the basin received Late Triassic sediments via/from Longmen Shan.
Qinling orogen served as not only source but also transport corridor of sediments.
Continuous collision of the SCB with NCB occurred in Late Triassic-Early Jurassic.
