Phase behavior of six short CO2-philic trimethylsilyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxanes (MW < 10,000) in dense carbon dioxide is studied at 23° and 40 °C.
Various ethylnaphthalene-terminated polydimethylsiloxanes were synthesized and their dilute phase behavior in dense CO2 was evaluated.
Molecules with fixed PDMS content and varying aromatic endgroups were synthesized and their two-phase boundary pressures at 1 wt% in dense CO2 were evaluated.
