Ultrasmall sub-10 nm AuNPs tags coupled with triple signal amplification process leads to over 260-fold of signal increase in comparison with conventional silver enhancement process.

This process yields over 3-order of magnitude sensitivity improvement.

Principle of successive triple amplification is applicable for existing AuNP-based bioassays.
