Small size zones are delineated to model non-motorized trips termed as NMT-TAZ. Four methods are applied and tested to estimate population at NMT-TAZ level. Residual statistics shows that regional regression outperforms other methods. Population at NMT-TAZ level is estimated using regional regression. Use of NMT-TAZ helps in capturing 87% of the walk trips as inter-zonal trips.
