Electronic medical records (EMRs) may address decision support for mobile medical service trips (MSTs) abroad. 13 EMR systems were located through a literature review and Google search. Only Open MRS has a broad user base, and other EMRs should prioritize interoperability with larger systems. Several systems have mobile designs, which may be useful in a low resource context. Most MST-specific EMRs remain in early stages, and further development is required before widespread adoption.
