The origin of stone layers is polygenetic (geogenic, pedogenic, geomorphic).

Yellowing is probably triggered by higher soil moisture under wet climate conditions.

Pre-colonial colluvia were mainly deposited in the Late Pleistocene and Holocene.

Modern deposits are triggered by increased human activity within the last 300 years.

The paradigm of climate-induced activity and stability phases needs to be restricted.
