The role and function of PDEF in bladder carcinoma is still unknown.

Our results showed that PDEF attenuated bladder carcinoma cell growth in vitro and in vivo.

PDEF modulates gene expressions of BTG2, NDRG1, MASPIN, and KAI1.

PDEF blocks EMT and F-actin polymerization in bladder carcinoma cells.

We suggest that PDEF is regarded as a tumor suppressor gene in human bladder cancer.
