The rs6296 may be associated with depression rather than suicidal attempts. The rs1923885 is associated with suicidal attempts among MDD. Younger patients had a higher risk of suicidal attempt among MDD. HTR polymorphisms related to vulnerability to MDD and MDD with suicidal attempts.
