Nu, f and TPF for tubes with spiky twin/four twist-fin inserts are measured. Flow structures and hydro-thermal performances are correlatively examined. Augmentations of Nu and f with twin and four spiky twist-fins are disclosed. Nu, f and TPF with spiky and smooth twin/four twist fins are compared. Nu and f correlations with Re and y as controlling variable are devised.
