Nitrate and acetate-LDHs were evaluated in MB photodegradation using visible light. Spinel and MgO obtaining at low temperatures was evidenced in both materials. The acetate-LDH calcined at 450 °C showed the highest MB decomposition. An annealing process must be conducted to regenerate material's active sites.
