Fe0/Feub>3ub>Oub>4ub>/Coke composite was synthesized and used as the heterogeneous Fenton catalyst.

A possible degradation pathway of p-Nitrophenol in Fe0/Feub>3ub>Oub>4ub>/Coke-Hub>2ub>Oub>2ub> process was proposed.
The obtained Fe0/Feub>3ub>Oub>4ub>/Coke composite was low-cost and environment-friendly and showed good stability for repeated use.
