Determination of in-situ stress orientation and subsurface fracture analysis from image-core integration: an example from ultra-deep tight sandstone (BSJQK Formation) in the Kelasu Belt, Tarim Basin
SHmax orientation derived from borehole breakouts coincide well with the result from the FMS in the collision zones of the Kuqa Depression. Fractures were evaluated by core-image integration and could increase formation permeability with 1-3 order of magnitudes. The MGPI index was used for hydraulic evaluation of open fractures.
