The chitosan/PVA/Zeolite composite was prepared as flocculent/adsorbent. The notable property of the resulting composite is the rigidity in acidic medium. Remarkable flocculation was observed at high concentration of Congo red and methyl orange. The adsorption capacity of the composite was 450 mg/g for Cr (VI). The adsorption capacity of the composite was slightly altered after five runs.
