A new kinetic turbine for tidal currents has been designed. A cost evaluation has been performed using the LCOE for a plant at the Calabria site. Two different scenarios have been considered: a pilot and a pre commercial plant. Different costs have been found due to a learning scale of the components production. A comparison has been done related to a different technologies and TRL.
