Rebound effects compromise energy savings from energy efficiency improvements. We critically expound Schatzki’s version of practice theory. We use this as a framework for understanding non-domestic rebounds. We use this in a case of ICT rebound effects in a university research cluster. Rebound effects are 100% higher than using a traditional rebound approach.
